Real Nigga Review
Euro “July”
“Just tryna make the city I grew in proud”

cover

Ev is back with another one of his reviews. This time he gives his thoughts on Euro’s July poject that recently dropped.

Hmm where do I begin? Well first and foremost I gotta say as a providence native I’m proud and excited for the young boy from OUR city, as you should be, and coming off of hearing “Induction Speech” for the first time I was hyped to hear what he had in store.  With that said, let’s get into it!

Euro opens up with his rendition of “Paris Morton Music” I have to say I wish he would have picked his bars up off of this track and placed them on a different beat. Not that the bars are wack I just feel as though they don’t fit the best on this beat. However, he gets my attention back on the very next joint “I Know My Name” another smooth joint full of witty word play and cleaver bars. Euro delivers on this one. BUT the flow gets a little boring to me on this tape overall, again the bars are there, delivery struggles at times IMO. I’m not totally sold on the whole off beat flow but when he’s on the kid got some shit. My favorite joint on this project is by far “Preach” son cooked on this joint I was impressed. At the risk of sounding like a stuttering dick head homie can rap, and rap well, but honestly I’m just not totally sold on him being the one to catapult RI hip hop to where we all feel it belongs. Not that it’s his responsibility. It’s just placed on him because of the position that he’s in. Anyway this project shows that Euro has the potential to be a good artist I just think he needs more time. He has the cosign of all of his YMCMB cohorts, now he just needs to continue to develop. But what do I know I’m just a fat nigga with an opinion and a my notes app on my iPhone. When it’s all said and done I give Euro’s July a 2.75 out of 5 real nigga middle fingers. Cool listen but not much playback value, AGAIN THIS IS ALL MY OPINION! If you don’t like it fight me.

“It’s Still Different” Mixtape Review By @MrMitch401

REAL NIGGA REVIEW
It’s Still Different

CD101

First off I gotta leave all bias at the top of this paragraph. Dru is one of my favorite RI artist, and when it comes to street rap he’s the one. Not to mention we from the same hood and he my young boi. Now with that out the way lets get into this….
From the drop of “Admission” I knew this would set the tone for something dope but also set the bar high. This shit goes ! With complex but still street bars like  “My 4.0 lift and react they kno we don’t play with that GPA” Flawless and effortless wordplay on this shit my nigga caught a body on this. Without missing a beat we transition into “Go get it”  with Heavy production from Ivy League. This shit had me ready to start trappin again word to my brother KD (RIP)

“I took over my island made myself the connect on the DAILY for real I’m like K at his best”. Intro runs a little long for my liking but still dope af. Other standouts to me are “In the streets” “Fresh code” feat RI spittas Ceez,Hil Holla, and Dru’s Milehigh Co-D City Boy Jones. “Don’t do it” is pure BARS for 3:28. And my favorite  the AraabMuzik produced “Maybe” I heard a slightly different version of this song over two yrs ago and knew then Dru had the potential to be the one. “Drinking Hennessy” had the potential to be a big joint for Dru but I feel the feature takes away from the song knocking it a few points. Overall Dope listen. It’s Just Different was a more cohesive project more album like. This joint comes across more like a mixtape. I would have went with a different title for this one but what do I know I’m just a old head with an opinion. Still give it a 4/5 real nigga middle fingers en shit lol.
