Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Hyper Crimson”

When it comes to the Air Foamposite series, historically, what works best in the present is often what worked well in the past. New variations of the shoe haven’t fared nearly as well as beloved retro pairs.

So what does Nike do if they can’t keep retro’ing the same kicks over and over again? Well, Simply produce slight variations of retros that aren’t exactly the same yet not far from it.

If the Nike Air Foamposite One “Copper” is the mothership, then the upcoming “Hyper Crimson” is definitely the offspring.

Gleaming in a similar rustic hue that leans towards that metallic copper shell, black secondary coloring surrounds the base while Swoosh branding lets us know this is a Foamposite Pro and not a Foamposite One.

The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Hyper Crimson” is set to release on April 6th at a retail price of $220 at select Nike retailers.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “All-Star”

The very-first Nike Air Foamposite Pro with interchangeable Swooshes is set to release soon. This year’s “All-Star” iteration of the shoe is, on its face, foundational. And while detachable Swoosh branding necessarily isn’t, when it comes to that feature on Foams, this is a whole new world of customization.

Simplicity cements the white base largely ensuring that the variety noted at the paneling remains the focus. Color and material options of the Swooshes appear plentiful, much like that of the Travis Scott AF100 design or the upcoming standalone DIY Air Force 1. Of course, the Foamposite Pro comes with much more allure, as this carries a much higher cost than a standard AF1. Thus, one pair with endless color possibilities is a greater bang for your buck.

Eric Avar’s iconic Foamposite design turned 20 years old once the calendar turned over to 2017, and Nike Basketball is celebrating by bringing back some of the most sought after colorways in the model’s history.

Now we get word that the Nike Air Foamposite One “Eggplant” is getting a retro treatment for the first time since 2010 on July 29th for $230 USD. The iridescent qualities and hypnotizing Varsity Purple shade contrasts the traditional black lining throughout while Penny Hardaway’s 1Cent logo is stitched onto the heel. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Silver Surfer” is set to drop this weekend on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17 in limited quantities at select NSW retailers.

Nike Air Foamposite One “Night Maroon”

The return of the “Dr. Doom” Foams next month serves as quite possibly the best Foams drop of any kind in the last two years. But in the meantime, these “Night Maroon” dropping later this week stands as an appetizer for the upcoming main course on Black Friday.

Simplicity has always been the mainstay in successful Foamposite releases. Sure, styles like the “Galaxy” celebrate a triumphant departure from tradition, but by in large a relaxed monotone Foam shell matched with a solid sole unit does the trick. That’s certainly the case here.
