2014 BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe

German BMW tuner Alpina recently unveiled the 2014 BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe at the Tokyo Motor Show. The coupe is powered by a twin-turbocharged version of the 435i’s 3.0-liter straight-six engine, producing 410 ponies and 443 lb-ft of torque. Capable of a 0-62 mph sprint in just 4.2 seconds, the B4 is capable of reaching an eye-watering top speed of 189 mph. Additional details include quad exhaust, 20″ wheels, high-performance brakes, lavalina leather-lined interior, and a 31 mpg rating. The 2014 BMW Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe will be available beginning May, 2014 starting at approximately $78,102 USD.

BMW X4 Concept

The official pre-production concept of the new BMW cross-over X4 model, has been unveiled today. It looks like the German car maker will stage the official unveiling at the Auto Show China 2013 in Shanghai, taking place later this month. The X4 is basically the smaller size sibling of the X6, a cross-over of the brand’s sport and off-road categories.

BMW M6 Gran Coupe

2013 BMW M6 Coupe

This week BMW announced the next generation of their flagship road-going sports car, the M6. Known to true fans as the “sportier M5,” the M6 keeps the engine, transmission, and electronic gadgetry specifications of its four-door brother but houses everything in a stylish and function two-door configuration, which keeps in tradition to the original M 635 CSi from the mid-1970′s. The 2013 model will arrive first as a convertible followed by the coupe, both with a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 powerhouse that outputs 560 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque to the pavement through their massive 19-inch alloy wheels and electronic “Active-M” limited-slip differentials. Transmission specs as of now list a seven-speed dual-clutch sequential manual gearbox, with a fully manual configuration in consideration for a later release. Sales of the new model will begin sometime this June.

BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe [Video]

BMW debuts its answer to the CLS (and the A7) with the new 6 Series Gran Coupe. The car will hit USA showrooms with three models: a 3.0L 315 hp Twin Turbo V6, a 4.4L 415 hp Twin Turbo V8, and all wheel drive “xDrive” model with the same V8. The former engine will hit 0-62 in 5.4 seconds while the top of the line V8 will reach 62 in just 4.6 seconds.

BMW 2011 M3 “Frozen Black” Edition

BMW will welcome a limited edition “Frozen Black” BMW M3 later this month. The blacked-out performance coupe features the M3 Competition Package with full premium and convenience packages and black Novillo leather with red contrast stitching. From the exterior, the defining aspect of the car is the “Frozen Black” paint with painted black M3 GTS wheels and red calipers. The BMW 2011 M3 “Frozen Black” Edition holds an MSRP of $79,650 USD with a run limited to only 20 cars. A release will begin on June 16.

BMW 328 Hommage

The BMW 328 is widely considered one of the 25 greatest cars of the century, such so that the carmaker has produced a unique concept car to mark the 328′s 75th birthday. The BMW 328 Hommage is specially crafted to mimic the design of the original–an ultra-lightweight 1,720 lb. sports car utilizing carbon fiber-reinforced plastic. The automobile was also one of the first in the line to incorporate kidney grilles upon the front and wide-set tail lamps in the rear. The sleek, doorless design and simplistic earthtone interior make for deconstructed elegance. Although no official specifications have been announced, BMW casually mentions the inclusion of a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine.
