Providence, Rhode Island’s own Photographer Tasha Bleu of Treu Bleu Imagery landed a billboard appearance in Madison Square Garden, New York City with JORDAN BRAND and Carmelo Anthony this month. The billboard is currently running until this Thursday January 14, 2016. Tasha Bleu’s face appears every 4.23 minutes. Only 12 creatives were selected worldwide for the high-profile project and Tasha was the only female photographer among the chosen few. Photographer Tasha Bleu of Treu Bleu Imagery/AriesThirty1 photographed industry insiders at the Agenda Tradeshow (agendashow.com) in NYC last month at her very own photo booth space presented by Flexfit.com‘s “basecamp” program and designed by AriesThirty1.com, her next business venture in collaboration with Yamaiguer Lopez of GUAPSKE/AriesThirty1. The “basecamp” program infuses art with business at men’s fashion tradeshows. As buyers and sellers are attending conventions like Agenda for sales presentations, they also have the opportunity to check out the work of select artists who are friends and family members of the Flexfit team. If you like snapback hats from brands like 40 oz. NYC and Frank the Butcher’s Always BAU, then you wear products manufactured by Flexfit and their parent company, Yupoong.
I love this woman’s drive, grind and passion for her work. Love the fact that she is getting recognized for all her hard work. Last week AGENDA: NYC held their usual trade show. Tasha Bleu had an Interactive Photo Installation Presented by KARMALOOP which was a part of the show with some photography work on display from her “BLEU AVENUE” column on the Karmaloop blog. She took some still shots & also had some of people jumping on the trampoline in a “Avenue” like setting designed by AriesThirty1. There were many giveaways include Guapske & FLUD Watches. The show is not one open to the public, but for tastemakers, designers, buyers and sellers, as well as icons in the streetwear industry. Flexfit and HYG presented self-taught photographer, Tasha Bleu at S.L.A.T.E. MAGIC. Tasha’s photographs embody the notions of authenticity, modernity, and timelessness. The overarching themes of her sets are dynamic and they run the gamut of possible subjects from the unbridled inventiveness of her imagination to the more structured and focused topics of men’s fashion and lifestyle. Her installation at Flexfit’s Basecamp featured some of her best menswear shots as well as fresh pieces and an interactive photo station. Missed this event?; great surprises and familiar faces are in this recap for those who didn’t get to attend.
Ms. Bleu’s photography was on display at MAGIC, in the S.L.A.T.E. showroom which took place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas from August 20th-22nd, 2012.
