In this animated video recap she connects all of her dark portraits into a “Death Row” inspired 25 second concept paired with a well-produced beat. Tasha has been releasing, directing and producing more video clips to coincide with her photography as she transitions into launching her next creative partnership, AriesThirty1. Providence, Rhode Island’s own Photographer Tasha Bleu landed a billboard appearance in Madison Square Garden, New York City with JORDAN BRAND and Carmelo Anthony earlier this year and she is now expanding her brand with a new company name. Treu Bleu Media offers commercial photography AND videography media services to major brands like JORDAN, ADIDAS and TIMBERLAND. Her new office is based in Hollywood and she plans on hiring more shooters.

The Instagram Socialmatic Camera – From Concept to Reality

We have reported numerous times already about the Instagram Socialmatic Camera. The concept was first presented in May 2012 and right away caught a lot of attention – a digital camera with Instagram functionality and look, yet with analog styling inspiration. Since that first presentation the team behind the camera has come a long way and even announced in February 2013 that the concept would actually become a reality under the Polaroid brand, the perfect partner.

It looks like as we are getting even closer to the final product, as this week a video has been released featuring the first looks of the final product. They keep it rather mysterious with the video, but it grants a first look at what is to come.

Treu Bleu Imagery at Agenda: NYC

Last week AGENDA: NYC held their usual trade show. Tasha Bleu had an Interactive Photo Installation Presented by KARMALOOP which was a part of the show with some photography work on display from her “BLEU AVENUE” column on the Karmaloop blog. She took some still shots & also had some of people jumping on the trampoline in a “Avenue” like setting designed by AriesThirty1. There were many giveaways include Guapske & FLUD Watches. The show is not one open to the public, but for tastemakers, designers, buyers and sellers, as well as icons in the streetwear industry. Bleu Avenue had many people pass by the from Jeff Staple, Frank the Butcher, DJ Clark Kent, Joey Badass, Pusha T, Hawaii Mike, Nigel Sylvester, Corey Shapiro, Ricky Powell, ASAP Snacks, Daymon Green, Eddie Huang, The Cast of VH1’s “Black Ink Crew”, Brian Procell, Oscar 1992, Dapper Lou and many more. Instagram Socialmatic Camera

Another interesting concept design comes from ADR Studio. This time they imagined the Instagram icon becoming a real life digital instant film camera – the outcome is the Instagram Socialmatic Camera. Check out the full concept idea here below.

– 2 main lens, first for main capture, second for 3D filters, webcam applications and QR Code capturing

– InstaOs 1.0, which put together Facebook and Instagram App feature

Certainly an interesting idea. I know quite a few of my friends that could use this lol.

Turtleback Turtle Jacket for iPhone4

With the release of the iPhone 4 and the better camera, photography on the device has certainly picked up. Seeing a photography award going to somebody using an iPhone is nothing new anymore and therefore the accessories for the iPhone photography market are of course also getting more interesting over time. Here we present the new Turtleback Turtle Jacket.

“Named Turtle Jacket, the aluminium ‘iPhone camera case’ contains UV filter, and is compatible with any 37mm lenses. The company also offers 60mm (for close up), 21mm (for long shot) and 8mm (for fish-eye-view). The two holes in the bottom are for tripod. The case is also compatible with other brands such as Manfrotto Modo. Paired with a camera strap, it looks almost like a digital camera.”

iPhone 4 with DSLR Lens

Apple’s new iPhone 4 has exceeded the expectations of many, yet its 5-megapixed camera is outdated compared to some of its competitors like HTC’s Evo 4G, which has an 8-megapixel camera. A recent prototype around the net shows how a distinct character created a special tripod to attach a DSLR lens to the iPhone 4. A creation like this can certainly help a traveling photographer who is not keen to carrying equipment around or interest one who wants to enter the world of photography.
