Nike x OHSU Doernbecher Announce 11th Freestyle Collection

Nike and OHSU unveil the 2014 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection. The collection features one of a kind apparel, footwear and equipment designs that reflect the inspirations and aspirations of six young patient designers.

The collection will go on sale November 23rd at NikeStore.com and select Nike stores.

Nike Doernbecher Freestyle 10th Anniversary Collection

Nike and Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore. celebrate the 10th year of the Doernbecher Freestyle Program, a unique collaboration that has empowered 58 young patients through design and raised more than $6 million for the hospital to help expand pioneering research, support clinical care, purchase state-of-the-art equipment, recruit new experts and help cover the cost of care for families most in need.

Since 10 years the project brings together a group of OHSU Doernbecher patients with Nike designers and developers to create shoes that are truly unique to each patient. Many of you gotten to know the program on our site over the years and you have seen many of the unique resulting sneakers from the project. Next to the Nike Dunk High 10th Anniversary Collection, that celebrates all the previously involved patients, Nike has once again worked with patients on a new set of sneakers and apparel for this 10th collection.
