Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard 3.0”

There’s always discussion surrounding the best original Air Jordan 1 colorways, nowadays there’s an equal amount of talk regarding the best non-OG 1s. By in large, the very-first “Shattered Backboard” tends to land somewhere near the top of that list. As it should.

Jordan Brand, keen on the fact that the Shattered Backboard is a trending style in tumbled leather or satin, looks to have plans to release a third colorway of the coveted style in 2019.

This third pair is reported to remove the white balancer and simply feature a black and orange upper.

Those same reports indicate the tentatively titled Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard 3.0” will release during the fall/winter 2019 season.

Its been reported that the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard 3.0” will release this October. The drop is tentatively scheduled for October 26, 2019. Continue reading “Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard 3.0””

Air Jordan 10 Retro “Seattle”

Back in 1995, in accordance with the release of the Air Jordan 10 during the 1994-95 NBA season, Nike released its very first City Pack series. It’s something that’s now done year in and year out. Yet. it’s never really been done quite as well as it was back in the mid-’90s.

Air Jordan 9 “Dream It, Do It”

Colored in a wide array of shades that coincide with the timeframe in which the style’s moniker was created, this ’90s inspired theme is punctuated with “Dream It, Do It” on the tongue.

Interestingly, and very pointed, is the vintage Coogi sweater-esque theme of the shoe and its March 9th release date. As any good Hip-Hop fan would know, it’s the date the Notorious B.I.G. passed. Could there be a connection? Possibly. But if nothing else, the coincidence is worthy of a second thought.

Take a look at the Air Jordan 9 “Dream It, Do It” below. Continue reading “Air Jordan 9 “Dream It, Do It””

Air Jordan 6 ‘Black Infrared’

The Air Jordan 6 ‘Black Infrared’ is making a return with the original Nike Air branding in 2019. Originally worn by Michael Jordan en route to his first NBA Championship.

This classic Air Jordan 6 color combination comes dressed in a Black and Infrared color combination, hence the nickname. Last seen released in 2000 with Nike Air branding, we also saw the model release in 2010 part of the ‘Infrared Pack’ and in 2014, however, none of those retro releases featured the ‘Nike Air’. Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown”

Over the last few years, Jordan Brand’s celebrated holiday offering has largely been anchored by adoring Air Jordan 11 releases. The latter months of 2018 likely won’t stray from that tradition. However, one of the most anticipated Air Jordan 11s of this year won’t release in November or December.

Taking on “Blackout” and “Prom Night” themes before being officially referenced at the Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown” edition, the noir centric style takes its inspiration from the shoe’s ability to play both on court and in formal settings.

Often times brand aficionados have laced up Air Jordan 11s at prom and other ‘tux and tennis’ functions. Thus, the Air Jordan 11 over time has become something of a dressy sneaker when given the opportunity. By all measures a premium iteration of the Air Jordan 11, the upper is enhanced with suede materials alongside a metal Jumpman logo and laces inspired by graduation cords.

The Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown” will release on May 26th and retail or $220. Continue reading “Air Jordan 11 “Cap and Gown””

Air Jordan 11 “Concord”

Even though we’re only about four months into the new year, it’s already being reported what Jordan Brand will release during the holiday season. For the first time since 2011, the Air Jordan 11 “Concord” is rumored to return to retailers. And if those rumors are to be believed, the shoe’s production will be massive.

It’s said that nearly 1 million pairs of the “Concords” will release this holiday season — almost 1 million (989,566) men’s pairs in approximation. Moreover, it’s stated that an additional 850,000 pairs will release in GS, PS and TD sizes.
