The Bronx native is a unique success story, first finding fame on Instagram before appearing on ‘Love & Hip-Hop: New York’ and jumpstarting her rap career. On the latest episode of Genius’ ‘For The Record,’ Rob Markman sat down with Spotify Head of Urban Carl Chery, Power 105.1’s DJ Self, and ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ star and New York rapper DreamDoll to discuss Cardi’s biggest VMA moments and debate whether ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ can produce another star like her.

Video: Fetty Wap Explains Story Behind His Left Eye

Fetty Wap, the rapper with one of the hottest songs out right now, ‘Trap Queen’ recently explained what happened to his left eye. During an interview with Shade 45’s DJ Self, the New Jersey native said “When I was little, I got into an accident and it gave me congenital glaucoma,” Wap expressed. “The doctors saved one—I was blessed to have my vision.”

In previous interviews Fetty didn’t seem too comfortable mentioning what happened to his eye, leaving fans wondering. Watch the interview with DJ Self below.

Trav Discuses Slowbucks Chain Incident & Rift With 50 Cent

Friday night, Trav stopped by Power 105 to visit DJ Self’s late night show and gave his take on 50 Cent and Slowbucks situation. Those of you out of the loop,Slowbucks was robbed on stage during a live performance from 50 Cent and launched a private investigation to save his brand. In the conversation, Trav revealed how his decade-long friendship with Fiddy turned sour after he wanted to branch out from being strictly around G-Unit and progress as an artist. He also touches on the infamous picture with 50’s son, Slowbucks and how he’s not the reason the two sides are currently feuding.
