Video: The Clipse Talk To CNN About Success and Their Past Lives As Drug Dealers
CNN donned their surgical gloves to gingerly inspect that phenomenon known as “rap music” in a mini-documentary screened last night about Clipse.
Despite the occasionally goggle-eyed tone of the reporter, it makes for fascinating viewing, detailing how Pusha T and No Malice rose to fame and tracing their estrangement as the latter turned to religion. The fact that the brothers never once appear on camera together suggests that we shouldnât hold our breath for that Clipse reunion.
Watch the documentary above. No Malice previewed some new solo material last summer, while Pusha appears a spot on one of the best hip hop tracks of the year so far.
Rodney King Dead At 47
VIA: Los Angeles (CNN) â Rodney King, whose beating by Los Angeles police in 1991 was caught on camera and sparked riots after the acquittal of the four officers involved, was found dead in his swimming pool Sunday, authorities and his fiancee confirmed. He was 47.
Kingâs beating after a high-speed car chase and its aftermath forever changed Los Angeles, its police department and the dialogue on race in America.
King was 25 and on parole after a robbery conviction in April 1991. In an interview in 2011, he recalled he had been drinking and was headed home from a friendâs house when he saw a police car following him and panicked, thinking he would be sent back to prison. So he attempted to flee.
âI had a job to go to that Monday, and I knew I was on parole, and I knew I wasnât supposed to be drinking, and Iâm like âOh, my God,ââ he told CNN.

Toyota recall: What to do if your car’s on the list
Millions of Toyotas – some of them among America’s most popular cars – are under scrutiny as the result of two separate recalls, both involving problems with the gas pedal.
Here is what Toyota owners need to know as the carmaker scrambles to find a fix for the problems.
How big is the problem? All major auto manufacturers have gotten at least some complaints of “unintended acceleration” in their vehicles. According to a December 2009 analysis by Consumer Reports looking at a federal database, Toyota has received a disproportionate number of complaints.
How many deaths have there been? In the past 10 years, according to some analyses, there have been 19 deaths in Toyota vehicles connected to some form of unintended acceleration, a figure that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration calls “plausible” based on its data.
Similar statistics have not been provided for other automakers, so there’s no way to know how Toyota compares to other major automakers in this regard.
